Let me just say that my sweet Ashton Raley amazes me!

She went to the dentist today to have 4 baby teeth pulled.

She handled it so well....I am beyond proud of what a trooper she was!

She has not whined or complained or cried at all!

She had lots of things to make her feel better:
*a breakfast at Corner Bakery with Macy and Miss Jodi before her appt.
*a slushy from Sonic
*3 Movie Marathon on Mommy's and Daddy's bed just chillaxin for the afternoon
*jello, applesauce, yogurt, scrambled eggs, purple pancakes, lemon sorbet
*tylenol
*texts and phone calls from people checking on her asking us to give her hugs
*lots of hugs and kisses and snuggles from Mommy, Daddy, and Lan-Lan P

I am glad that round 1 of our orthodontic adventure is done and she won't have to have anything else done for quite a while!

On Daddy's way home from the gym this morning, he brought a certain 7 year old and her little sister some donuts for breakfast. I am sure the neighbors heard the girls' squeals!

Since our littlest girl's birthday is so close to Christmas and she gets tons of stuff, we always put some of it away for later. Today we pulled two "new" and fun toys out of Landry's closet and boy was she THA-rilled!

Gotta love new stuff 6 months later...Big Sis even liked the new additions to the playroom!

Since it was so hot and humid today we took Ashton, Landry, and Bailey to a place called eGiggle and Jump in Bastrop. The kids had a total BLAST...we were even impressed that Landry decided she LOVED the bouncy things since she has never really been a fan.

We had the pleasure if eating dinner at a quaint little place called Pockets Grill, which just happens to be in the town of Smithville, which also happens to be the place where much of the movie Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock was filmed.

It was the perfect place for dinner...it was yummy and not crowded and everyone had something different!

I thought the pretty colored bottles on the tree out front was something you don't see everyday so I snapped a pic of it!

Today we headed down south to a place near Austin by the name of Bastrop...Home of the Bastrop Bears Football team (which is why we know people from there) to visit the Olsons for the weekend.

On our way we stopped for a little din-din at this BBQ place. My hubs had been raving about this joint...let's just say it was good, but not the best I've ever had and I wouldn't mind if I never made it back there.

Today we had the pleasure of watching Macy Gwynne play tennis during her lesson...add on top of that some dinner at Tin Star and snocones with the Leonard 4 and the Scheer 3 and it was a perfect way to spend the afternoon/evening!

A little bit of Louisiana in Texas!

My hubs got home today after being in Louisiana for a funeral...boy did we miss him! While he was there he had a chance to stop in the Mardi Gras store and picked up a little treat for the girls.

He picked out a Mardi Gras mask for each of the girls and they were all kinds of thrilled!

HOT....HOT...HOT!

Today was a day of days if you know what I mean. We woke up with our power out at 7:15 and it stayed out for about 45 minutes. Then, the AC quit working this afternoon while my hubs was out of town at a funeral.

Luckily the house wasn't terribly hot until later in the evening after the girls and I got home from dinner. Mr. Bill (my second husband) so sweetly came over to take a look and decided I needed the AC repair guy so he took the girls with him to the Leonard Casa. I called the AC guy and he so came over tonight at 9:30 to fix it and didn't charge an outrageous service fee....he only charged the normal fee!

So the girls and I had a sleepover at the Leonard house...they were beyond excited!

Thanks Leonards for unexpectedly taking us in tonight! We appreciate it more than you know!

Sassy Saturday #18

Today we went to get snow-cones! I got lemon and boy was it tasty! I sure do love me some snow-cones!

well....by this the time both girls were in bed tonight! this is what happens when two little girls have dance camp all week, a couple of play dates and some swimming time!

the girls were totally whipped! Ashton even asked to go to bed...that is RARE!

Today the girls and I worked on some super TOP SECRET FATHER'S DAY SURPRISES for Daddy! Ashton had a total blast! I can't wait for Sunday!

Today while the Littlest Bryce Sister was napping, Ashton and I made a fun and super sticky treat for dessert....Rice Krispy Treats! She chose to use the cocoa krispies this time and she didn't love how they turned out....next time we will stick to the original rice krispies!

She did however, love the one-on-one time and so did I! She is quite the little helper in the kitchen!

Ashton and Macy are doing a "Pop Star" dance camp this week and Landry is all kinds of excited because that means a little more time for her to wear their shoes and carry their bags and dance all over the lobby area!

Beyond PROUD Mommy!

Today our BG had her fourth dance recital and it was absolutely amazing and on top of that she played in her first ever championship softball game today too! She continues to impress me with all that she learns how well she dances and performs and just lights up when she dances.

Daddy and I were both teary eyed and lumpy throated as we watched her on stage today. We also immensely enjoyed watching Macy and Carly perform...it was such a fabulous day!

one more game!

This evening Ashton's softball team won their 2nd post season tourney game which puts them in the CHAMPIONSHIP game on Saturday!

This has been such a fun softball season and we have loved watching Ashton's team have fun and improve each week! Now we have only one problem...Ashton has dress rehearsal for her recital on Saturday morning-the same time as the championship game!

We have been so lucky that we have not any conflicts this season...until now!

A certain two year got her very OWN tattoo this morning after she finished her first "Big Girl" swimming class and boy was she super duper excited! {I had a rather difficult time trying to keep her still long enough to get a picture...luckily Ashton was able to capture her attention long enough for me to snap this pic!}

Last week we finished up the classes where mommy is in the water with her....yep, she has moved on to classes where she is with 3 other two year olds and she sits on the edge and waits her turn! She was the only one who didn't not cry and she couldn't figure out why every one else was.

She sat on the side on her turtle and clapped, swam and enjoyed her M&Ms that she earned for doing what Miss Sara asked her to. When it wasn't her turn to swim, she waved and high fived and thumbs upped Ashton and I through the window. She kicked her feet and splashed and only fell in once. She tried to jump in one time right at the end when Miss Sara called the parents to show us what they did today...the poor girl was so excited, but luckily I still have quick enough reflexes that I was able to stop her before she jumped in. If she to gets in the water when she isn't supposed to, Mommy will have to sit behind her during class!

When class was over and she was able to choose a sticker or a tattoo....she couldn't get the word out fast enough...there was no thought! She has been looking at Ashton's tattoo for the last few days and was beyond excited to have her own and to be just like her Big Sisser!

I am proud of how well she did and can't wait to see how she continues to progress...and hopefully she will not fall or jump in anymore!

Look what ARB brought home from softball practice tonight! This is the BIGGEST trophy she ever received and she is quite pleased with it!

Happy 40th Anniversary!

We went down to my Lorena to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary today. My sisters and I threw them a little party which was so fun. We truly enjoyed celebrating this special occasion with them and can't wait to celebrate many more!

Sassy Saturday #17

"Schools out for summer! Schools out for ever! Schools been broke to pieces! Yeah!" To celebrate Summer we went to the pool! There was a guy putting on tattoos and my mom asked if I wanted one and I said no. So we went on the tube ride then we went on the slide. Then we swimmed. Then at the last moment I said I wanted one. So we stood in the line to get a tattoo. It was so fun!

Today I was able to spend the day at my BG's school to celebrate the end of another school year. The kids had a blast....a two hour party with pizza, a popsicle, a bounce house, games and tons of fun!

Poor Ashton had this outfit chosen and laid out ready for her "Celebration of Learning" at school today. This is where the outfit stayed all day since she didn't make it to school today.

She woke up at 5ish this morning and got sick. Luckily it was a quick and easy thing...she threw up 3 times and by 8:30 she was asking to eat and never looked back! Apparently this thing is going around!

The good news is that she is better and ready to roll tomorrow for her last day of school!
