Sassy Saturday #16 on Monday

Finally! Today we went swimming at our neighborhood pool! I was so excited! I had to wait and wait until ... "Daddy, Landry's awake!" Landry plopped on her swim suit and we headed to the pool. I slipped off my cover-up and my shoes and hoped in the pool. I had a great time at the pool!

More Graduation Fun...

We went down to Lorena today for Chris' graduation par-tay and to pick up the girls. It was a fun time and we were happy to be a part of the gradu-la-tion {As Landry says} festivities!

Our 12th Anniversary Celebration

My Hubs and I had our actual anniversary last weekend, but we were able to celebrate Kid Free thanks to my parents this weekend.

One of the things we did today was buy our new bedding...which we have been in search of for about the last SIX+ months . We are so excited to have new bedding with a pattern...we have totally busted out of our comfort zone on this one and we totally love it!! We have always had solid bedding so this was fun, but also a little difficult to find. We have looked every single place that has bedding.

*Since the girls were with my parents and ARB didn't have her camera...she is going to do her 365 on Monday.

Feelin' Just A Bit Old!

The girls and I traveled to Waco today for my nephew's graduation. How is it that I have TWO nephews and a niece out of high school? That will sure make a girl feel old!

This week Landry has had tonsilitis which means we have been home bound. Today was her "24 hours of being Fever Free" day which means she felt fine just couldn't go anywhere. That didn't stop her from doing some serious playing!

We spent our evening watching Ash play softball...with two very special guests and an added bonus surprise!

Grammy and Grampy surprised her and were in the car with me when I picked her up from school AND Daddy was able to sneak away from his work function to show up at the game! It was totally unexpected to have Daddy, Grammy and Grampy there to watch her.

Homework.

Ash was working on a few review math problems after dinner and dance this evening and what do ya know....her lil sidekick was right there with her doing her "maf poblems too". Landry LOVES doing her "homework" when Ashie is doing hers...homework won't be nearly as fun for her when she is seven!

But for now, I think this is a sweet picture of them!

Tonight after Landry finished her bath and while she was waiting for Sisser to finish her bath, she decided to put on her Elmo slippers and dance around Ash's room. It was hilarious....you would never know this girl had a fever earlier today!

I just wanna squeeze those little two year old legs!

It's not every day you see a GREEN TREE FROG on your grill cover...especially in TEXAS! It was quite a surprise tonight that created a ton of excitement for two little girls and a Daddy at our house this evening!

Sassy Saturday #15

On Friday I went to the Bryon Nelson with my dad. I've been going since I was almost 4. My tradition is to get a bear. My new one is the shorty.

Today was the day that Daddy took Ashton on their annual date to the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament. It was by far her best one yet out of the 4 years they have been! They had a BLAST!

Happy Early Summer Birthday!

Since Ashton Raley has a summer birthday, she always gets to celebrate sometime around the craziness of the end of the year. Last week she was recognized at FML and today she celebrated with her class. She took cookies to share and Landry and I brought her Wendy's for lunch.

another FIRST for Lan-Lan P...

Ashton loves going to the library and has since she was bitty. Sadly we have not been in over a year and Landry has NEVER been to check out books. The girl was in heaven...she loved the purple chair...it was her favorite as she told me over and over. She loved sitting at the tables "reading" to herself!

The girls had a fun time choosing a few books and Ashton couldn't even wait until we got to the car to start reading one of the ones she chose. And when Daddy got home, Landry could not wait to show him her books!

the end of a school year function~for this year anyway.

Ashton's school has a monthly "Chick-Fil-A" night where her school gets a portion of the sales associated with her school. We have participated in almost every single one and thank goodness it happens on Tuesday nights-our busiest night of the week. Daddy drives through and picks up dinner while we are on our way home from dance. Perfect.

This was the last one for this school year...it is a good thing we like chick-a-lay (as Landry says).

This lil punkin is one of the cutest little cookie making helpers I ever did see! I had a coupon for these cookies and thought it would be fun to try them out plus we got bonus box tops on the package so....while Sisser wanted some "alone" time to play her DS in peace, my littlest munchkin and I made some cookies.

She was beyond thrilled and I of course enjoyed the company even though she didn't last much past the mixing part.

Tonight after dinner when she was enjoying her cookie, she was sitting in my lap and said "thank you for making cookies. I lub dem!"

I am always trying to find somewhat healthy snacks to eat that actually taste good. I wasn't so sure about the Laughing Cow cheese at first...I like the wasa crackers with something on them, but had never tried the cheese~until today.

The cheese is spreadable so it was perfect on the cracker. It was actually not too bad and something I can keep eating. It is a low calorie snack/lunch that I can add to my plate so to speak.

Sassy Saturday #14

Today we went bowling with some of my friends from school. These are the kids Me, Landry, Kaitlyn, Coleson, Maddison, Jocalen, Kade, Landen , and Kylan. Last but not least the grown ups, My mom, my dad, Mrs. Christen, Mr. Jon , Mrs. Chrstine, Mr. Duane, Mrs. Briteny ,and Mr. Shawn.

I had pizza and fun!

A Piggy for P...

This afternoon, I took the girls to the painting place so they could paint a piggy bank for Lan-Lan P. They were both pretty excited and I can't wait to see how their masterpiece turned out. We get to pick it up next week.

Tonight is going to be my attempt with these foam curlers. Ashton has a character parade tomorrow at school and she needs curls in her hair. I hope it turns out okay and not a total disaster...we shall see!

3-2-1....Blast OFF!

Ashton brought home the goodies she earned for raising money for the American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart.

Among those goodies was this rocket launcher thingy-ma-bob.

Tonight after dinner, she and Daddy busted it out of the package and put it to use.

Yes...they shot it off in the house...down the hallway to our bedroom.

I am not sure when the last time was that I have heard both girls and Daddy belly laugh like they were tonight. I mean laughing extremely loud and oohing and aaahing over how fast and far that rocket went.

Landry was especially amused by the rocket!

It was pure greatness!

Pure Entertainment...and Pure GREATNESS!

Ok....so I do have to admit (in case you didn't already know this about me) I love to watch "trashy" tv along with other normal tv. I got hooked on the Real Housewives of Orange County which in turn got me hooked on the spin offs in other cities. New Jersey is my absolute FAVE! I love it...there is so much drama and most of it is stupid, but it is entertaining.

The show airs on Mondays, but we didn't get to watch it last night so that is what we did tonight. What in the world did we do before DVR?

The perfect addition!

Daddy sure knows how to make his girls happy. I have been hinting and talking about how we needed a docking station with speakers for my ipod so we have something to listen to while we are outside playing and enjoying the patio. I might have mentioned it EVERY single time we have been outside...just sayin'.

We took it outside this afternoon for the first time while I read a book and the girls played. It is perfect...we listened to Ashton's playlist on my ipod and had a grand ole time! I am in love with this thing!

Sassy Saturday #13-a day late!

Yesterday I went to a cake decorating class. We used fondent for the shapes. My friend Grayclen was there too so it made it more fun. It was in a box so our mom's coudn't see how we made it!

This morning when my mom saw the cake she was so inprested! We had some for dessert after lunch and it was delectible! I had so much fun!

Field Trip!

Today I was lucky enough to go with my BG on her field trip for school. The kids had a total blast doing a little math, a little science, and little gymnastics stations all at the same time.

Daddy hung out with Lan-Lan P this morning which was a nice little treat for them even though Daddy had to do a little work.

somebody's mommy finally got her "Big Girl" stool painted with her name on it. this somebody is SUPER proud of her very own stool with her very own name on it and she wants to be on it all the time washing her hands and brushing her teeth all by herself in her own bathroom.

a new love for our BG...

Over this last year, Ashton has been growing out of her bows. As much as this pains me, I totally get it, but to me this is just another sign of her growing up which makes me sad. She is okay with a bow in her ponytail, but that is about it.

Since the bows are going out for her, she is replacing them with these cute little flowers....hooooray! For the past several months we have been looking everywhere for flowers that clip into her hair and we seem to get there as they are out of every color.

The other day we found these cute little headbands and she was in L-O-V-E...we got two and we are both super excited about them! This color is one of her new faves too!

I am loving the replacement hair accessory and can't wait to get a few more!

Teacher Appreciation Week....bring a pen or pencil to your teacher tomorrow.

I went to Hobby Lobby today so I get the necessities for this fun pen project.

We worked on them while we watched DWTS....just us girls!

Sunglasses are a necessity just as sunscreen is when the girls play outside...so today we made sure Lan-Lan P had her own little girl shades. She chose "pink pokey dot" ones and is thrilled! Ashton got these new giraffe ones last week and is beyond excited because they are a) animal print and b) Macy and Carly have the same ones!

One might think they have too many pairs, but I for one think it is easier to have them in the spots we need them instead of having to remember them. The girls each have a pair in Daddy's car, in Mommy's car, and a pair for the backyard and the pool. I am finally glad Landry understands the rule: no sunglasses, no playing outside and I don't have to fight her anymore!

Sassy Saturday #12

Last weekend we planted some Lillys. They wern't growing . I would ask my mom and dad when would they grow. In my mind I would think, I wonder how pretty they would look? Then sure anuf they were butiful!
