There just anything better than watching our girls dancing together!

Today as I was cleaning up the lunch mess and putting in some laundry, I heard the music in the playroom and peeked in on the girls. I found them both dressed in tutus and dancing in front of the mirror. Sweet.Precious.Adorable.Priceless!

They danced together for a while then moved on to doing their own thing....Ashton still dancing in front of the mirror and Landry loading and unloading her shopping cart all while dancing.

Ashton was so tickled that Landry was allowing her dress her up. But really, Landry could care less as long as Ashton is playing with her!

I love these two sweet girls and am so glad they have each other!

Game Night at the Bryces...

Normally we have game night on Saturday evenings, but since Ashton watched a movie yesterday and watched much more tv than normal in the last two days, she decided she wanted to play a game tonight instead of having movie night. She is feeling so much better and she beat me and her Daddy!

Here are just a few of the many products I have been using for most of late last night and morning today. Ashton woke up and threw up ALL OVER HER BED at around 10:30 last night!

So since that time I have been washing everything she has touched and disinfecting EVERYTHING, keeping the two girls separated so hopefully Landry doesn't get whatever this funk is. It kind of came out of the blue...poor girl!

She has been a trooper and is resting today. This girl rarely gets sick {yes I am knocking on some serious wood right now} I am talking probably once a year and that is it. She was so disappointed because today is the first day she has missed school since she started Kindergarten.

I am running on fumes....finally laying down (on Ashton's floor) at around 2:30 then waking up every 30 minutes or so until 5:30. Then Landry was up at 7:00....yay! I see a big ole Sonic Dr. Pepper in my future!

Today I was able to go with Ashton on her field trip....yipppeeeee!! We went to the Dallas World Aquarium....we had such a good time. I love that Daddy took the day off today to hang with Landry so I could go on this field trip.

Well....I have bitten by the "painting bug" and by that I mean that I want to paint some rooms in our house! Maybe it is because I cannot stand all the plain white walls in our house {but I don't want to tackle the main walls in the living room, hallways, etc} or maybe it is that I watched a bit too much HGTV this weekend but anywho....I want to paint some walls!

When I grow up, I would LOVE to be an interior decorator...however, I don't have a single bit of that talent or skill in my bones {and I am not afraid to admit it}. I am in complete awe of people who can decorate and make things looks so pretty!

I decided to paint two small-ish rooms...our laundry room and our master bath. When our house was built....they put "non-washable" paint on every. single. wall! Helllooooo....dumb! Needless to say, it is impossible to clean, which is another reason I want to paint....so I can clean the walls.

Our laundry room is all white with a white washer and dryer and it is a small space...so we decided to go with a yellow-ish color to brighten it up a bit. And for the master bath....a green-ish color to go with our brown and creme scheme we already have.

Landry and I went to Home Depot yesterday to get some paint samples...showed them to Bobby and hung up our faves to see how we like them. Hopefully we can make a decision and paint this weekend....I am soooooo indecisive when it comes to paint. If I make the wrong choice that means either live with it or create more work to change it....hmmf!

This is Landry's way of telling us that she if finished with her food...today it was her lunch! She pulls off her bib....and launches it. She then launches her milk. And last but certainly not least comes the plate {with whatever food she didn't eat, which most times is nothing} and the fork if she had one at that particular meal. Luckily she ate all of her blueberries today...grilled ham & cheese and green beans are easy to clean up!

Today we went out to a tree farm in Gunter...to pick out a new tree for our front yard. You see, we have a tree missing in our front yard. It hadn't been growing well and last fall our landscaper told us it was diseased so we had it removed. He also told us it is best to plant new trees about now since it will go through a "shock" period when you plant them. So now, when spring arrives our new tree will be ready to grow.

I snapped this picture of our girls as they were walking up and down the rows of trees. Landry was in love with the new sounds her feet made when she walked on the rocks. This is also a new surface for her to walk on. She saw a cute little dog and 3 little kitties that she thought she just HAD to have. She saw them and started squealing with delight and began walking faster and faster with her finger pointing at them trying to catch them. Good thing those things are faster than she is...I didn't want her to touch them and that would have been a battle!

mmmmmmmmmm....skittles and popcorn....de-lish! This is our traditional "movie night" snack along with a cup of nice cold water!

We have "movie night" every week. Most times it is on Friday nights, but since we had a dinner date with the Leonards last night and Ashton went to help some neighbors make a "Welcome Home Allie" sign for Baby Allie, we decided to move our movie night to Saturday this week.

We watched Madagascar 2" Escape From Africa. It was quite a delightful movie with a great cast of voices. Bobby and I picked up on a lot of humor that Ashton didn't get...she just laughed after we did!

Oh how we love this movie night tradition. Today as we were running some errands, I asked Ashton if she looks forward to "Movie Night" each week...and she responded with "Oh Yes!" I then asked her if she would still want to have movie night with us when she was a teenager and she said "Yes, Mommy" with a tone of "why wouldn't I?" and "Why did you even ask that question?"

Soon, Landry will get to be a part of our "Movie Nights"...that is the only thing that could make them any better!

I can't even believe I am putting this picture of our cute little girl on this blog! I shall explain how exactly it is that I even have this picture...

So we had a dinner date with the Leonards this evening at Chili's....yummmy! Landry had finished scarfing down {actually it was more like inhaling} every piece of Mac -n-cheese and french fries and peaches {she didn't love her peas this evening} that I had put on her tray. The big girls were in their own little world chatting, Carly was in her own little world having a grand old time, while the grown ups were in our own little world chatting. Jodi and I looked over at Landry and she had a "wonderful" new do....so I reached into my bag, grabbed my camera, and proceeded to snap a quick pic.

Well...with the first one I didn't quite get a great angle on the hair {even though she was smiling and looking quite cute} so I took another one. This second time she had stuck her finger in her nose...a new discovery {along with sticking her fingers in mouth to gag herself} that she thinks is a really neat-o trick. NICE!!! and VERY ATTRACTIVE!!!

So while I got a great angle on the hair, I did not get such a great picture of our girl! We all laughed and decided this should be my 365 picture for today. So hopefully one day when she is older, Landry won't kill me for doing this to her... she will laugh as well.

Today we met sweet Baby Allie! We waited for Bobby to finish with his meeting then we headed toward the hospital, grabbed a quick dinner from Corner Bakery and went to visit Jill and Nathan and meet Baby Allie!

As you can see, she is a doll and just perfect! We each took turns holding her and Landry was sitting on the couch making her sign for "please" because she wanted that baby! It was too cute! She saw Allie and went straight for her...she loves babies!

I actually have to confess that I didn't take this picture...it came off of Nathan's camera. I was busy holding the baby not to mention Bobby and I took turns chasing Landry around the room. She is a busy, busy mess these days...now that she can walk she is everywhere!!

Our friends and neighbors, Nathan and Jill, had their sweet baby girl today! Alexandra "Allie" Jo was born this afternoon weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz and 19.5 inches long...she has a ton of dark hair!

Today's photo is of a burp cloth I made for them as a "Welcome to the World" baby gift. We are so glad she is here and that baby Allie and her mommy are doing great! Can't wait to meet her....

This is the quietest time in our house....bedtime for our girls! Landry is in bed by 7:15 and Ashton is in bed at 8:00....

This is one of our daily activities...Ashton's guided reading homework. She has always loved to read and we continue to see such improvement in her reading and her comprehension. She spends usually 15-20 minutes a day reading as part of her homework. Along with her reading homework, she has spelling words to practice and one short activity like a math problem to solve.

This morning, Landry entertained herself by sitting in the toy basket. She sat in there and proceeded to throw out every.single.toy until it was empty. Anyway, I didn't want to disrupt her since she seemed to be having a ton of fun, but after a while I knew I really wanted to get a picture of it. As I got the camera, she instantly started trying to climb out just as she is doing in the pictures. I didn't realize her little tiny hiney cheek was hanging out until I put the pictures on the computer. I just want to pinch those little buns!

As a Valentine's Day treat, Daddy got us some chocolate covered strawberries and some yummy candy from a little shop called Schakolad Chocolate Factory...they were delish! Landry even enjoyed them...well, the chocolate not so much the strawberry! Ashton isn't a big fan of chocolate but she LOVES chocolate covered strawberries...go figure!

Today's picture is of my hubby hard at work. Since he works from home, he spends most of his time on the phone and on the computer. Today I snapped a picture of him while he was on a conference call...I love that he works from home, but it can also be a bit challenging at times for both of us! I love that he works so hard so that I have the opportunity to stay home and be a mom to our girls...just one of the million reasons I love him!

Today Landry and I had lunch with Miss Jill and Miss Jodi. Jill's maternity leave started this week and we decided to do lunch before Miss Allie makes her arrival next week. I never go out to lunch during the week unless I am taking lunch to Ashton at school (which isn't often) so this was a treat.

I LOVE Tin Star's queso....and really that is what I wanted my picture for today to be, but since I was dining with a cute little 13 month old, I forgot to whip out my camera and take a picture of the queso...anyway, it was absolutely deeee-lish! The 3 of us enjoyed it...thanks Jodi!

I had such a fun time hanging out with Jill, Jodi, Carly and Landry!

This looks so uncomfortable...but Landry was having her some really good sleep in this position. She had smooshed herself into the corner of her bed with her knees and feet tucked up under her. It looks like she was sitting up and toppled over when she fell asleep. When I got her up, she had some serious sleep marks on her face and baby drool. Sleep marks on the face and drool=good sleep!

So here is what made me happy today....our new washer and dryer! Hopefully this will make doing our millions of loads of laundry just a little bit more fun. Now all I need is a bigger laundry room!

Stroller Fit... is where Landry and I spend 3 mornings a week. I wanted to find something to help me get back in shape after Landry was born, but didn't want to leave her in the child care at the gym since A) she was so little and B) it was right in the middle of flu and rsv season. This program allows me to workout while Landry is with me. I absolutely LOVE it!

This a picture (taken with my diaper bag camera) of my stroller just before we got started...complete with all of my workout gear and Landry's snacks and toys!

Bath day happens at our house every other day unless there are "special" circumstances that arise. Our girls take a bath separately...even though they would both love to take a bath with her each other, it doesn't work out since Landry can't play with some of Ashton's bath toys and Ashton uses big girl shampoo that would sting Landry's eyes....so our bath time doubles each night.

The girls absolutely love bath time and we enjoy watching them. It can be a whippin' at times when you have two separate containers of toys, two different types of shampoo, one kiddo who needs conditioner, a baby who splashes EVERYWHERE, and someone who doesn't like getting out of the tub because she is having so much fun. I do however LOVE how our girls smell when they are out of the tub with lotion and and how squeezable they are in fresh jammies!

Today's picture is of Ashton's and Bobby's hands before going to the Daddy Daughter Dance. This is the third year they have had this special date and always in February.

Bobby truly enjoys doing things with Ashton (and Ashton with her daddy) and not just special events like this, but just anything they can do together. This is one time every year they can get dressed up and spend an afternoon together. These times will be memories they will both have forever.

It is amazing to me how one little body can make a huge mess in 5.2 seconds. Landry LOVES to read books...she will go through every book on her shelf or in her basket. This is only a glimpse of the stack of books we pick up about 20 times a day!

Every Tuesday Ashton has dance. She is taking Ballet and Jazz. She has taken Ballet for 3 years, but this is the first year for jazz and boy does she love it. She decided to hang up her tap shoes for now so she could "jazz up her life".

The Olsons came to visit this weekend. This being the first time we met Bailey, of course we had to take a ton of pictures! Sweet Bailey was asleep in his bouncy seat so his Mommy and I could take pictures of him. I love this picture of his 6 week old hand on his baby blue jeans.
