Today we went down to Waco to pick up girls. We enjoyed our night out but missed the girls. After we had a super yummy BBQ dinner from Rudy's, we snuggled on the couch and caught up on American Idol. It was such a relaxing way to spend some Family Time together!

The girls were WORN OUT....Ashton was in a daze and just chilled all evening and couldn't wait for bedtime!

Sassy Saturday #4

Ahhh.... I love the sun set of Waco. This weekend me & Landry went to our grandparents house to stay will our parents went to a party. We met Grammy& Ninny at the Sonic in Italy,TX.We

drove in Grammys car the rest of the way.For dinner we went to Mcdonls and played in the play area. We got a treat at Sonic for desert! Then we went home and and put Landry to bed and me and Grammy tried to put a Tinker Bell puzzle together but it was too hard for the both of us so we played Old Maid. The next morning we went to Auntie Megans house so our parents could pick us up and go home.We had a great time!

oh how we love these four little girls!

This afternoon we had a special play date with Carly and Macy! After some hide and seek, some singing, and some dinner the girls relaxed and watched a movie while they waited for Mr. Bill to come pick them up. We enjoyed having them over...we love 'em like our own!

What I love about this picture is the way Macy and Ashton are totally into the movie and could care less that I was taking their picture. I also love how Landry is snuggled up to Carly and Carly is rubbing Landry's head....so sweet!

This is Landry's swim bag. She has swimming lessons on Wednesdays-in Plano. She didn't get to go this morning...we drove almost all the way there when I realized I left her bag at home! No swimsuit, or swim diapers, or towels. So...we went all the way home and tried to make it back in time...we didn't and I knew by the time I would have parked and dressed her the class would have been half way over! Way to go Mommy!

She was NOT a happy camper to miss her "fimming lessons with Miss Say-wah!"

Daddy is out of town for work tonight and when he is gone, he always calls the girls before they go to bed. Landry was thrilled to talk to him...she sat herself in her chair and was telling/showing him her jammies and socks!

I bet you are wondering why in the world I took a picture of a door...

...well this is Landry's bedroom door.

...she loves to put her baby to bed, which means closing the door just like we do for Landry.

...the only times Landry's door is closed is if she is asleep or if her Baby is sleeping.

...I love how observant she is and how she mimics what she sees us do.

Toddler play is the one of the best things ever!

I snapped this picture this morning before we left my parents house. Ashton loves Grampy's cat, but he is usually closed in their bedroom since Daddy is allergic to him and if he isn't put away, Simba is usually hiding because of all the commotion.

Ashton was LOVING that she got to pet him a lot....she was also talking on phone to Landry at the same time. Landry was really missing her Sissy while we were gone this weekend!

This is a poster of the tallest Lady Bear basketball player, Brittney Griner. As you can see she is way taller than me! She's 6'8" and her shoe size is 18.5...her shoe size is bigger than the tallest man basket ball player! We had a great time!

Happy Birthday To ME!

Our sweet friends the Olsons gave me a gift certificate to Shutterfly for my birthday and Kynda made me promise to make sure I got something for myself with it. As soon as I got it, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted...a photo collage! I have wanted one of these for a really long time, but never wanted to get it for myself so this was perfect!

I had fun going through my pictures and it was hard to choose only 9 (that is the most you can do) but I was able to do it. I fell in love with the picture when it came (I only wish I had edited some of the pictures a little better but any who I still love it) and today I was SUPER excited to find a frame for it!

Now I just need to hang it...I think I might be just a little addicted...I have so many ideas of other collages I would like to do. I am a TOTAL sucker when it comes to pictures!

My favorite thing about this picture is Ashton's BLUE eyes!
She only thought I was getting a picture of her hands against her shirt~but I snuck her eyes into the shot!

One of Ashton's favorite things about getting her hair cut (and the reason for this random picture) is getting her nails painted and of course the sparkly star on her cheek. She was SO excited to choose this BLUE color...she chose it because her new softball team is blue!

This littlest girl of mine makes me smile every day.

Today after lunch, I told her she could play for a few minutes before nap while I cleaned up our lunch mess.

She ran in her little two year old toddler way straight into the playroom, dressed herself in her chef outfit and began to cook in her play kitchen.

Then she came in the kitchen and said, "Mommy I wan be by you. I pay oh-vu here." And she played with her stuff-happy as can be.

I grabbed my camera trying not to disturb her. She was oblivious at first to the fact that I was taking pictures of her.

She makes me smile...and I love her to pieces!

The girls {especially Ashton} are totally into the Winter Olympics. Last night we recorded the Figure Skating and this morning while they had their morning snack, they sat and watched in total awe...they didn't even flinch when I took this picture!

Ashton wishes dancing was an event in the Olympics. Landry loves seeing all the snow on tv and says "I want eat the snow."

Oh my goodness....today it started snowing sometime between 3 and 6 am and didn't stop until almost midnight. We had record snowfall here anywhere from 9-12 inches! The snowflakes were giant and wet! This is the view from out our backdoor around lunchtime.

Someone was having a really good nap today when her Momma had to wake her up to go pick up Sissy from school. I mean, she was sleeping hard! Mouth open, no bink, she was O-U-T. I waited until the latest possible second to get her up....poor girl!

I love a few things about this picture...number 1-her tooth looks so teeny tiny in her 7 year old hand...number 2-Landry's little hands are trying to grab Ashton's hands to get a good look at the tooth.

This is perfect for our sweet Landry Paige!

Our sweet friend Rebecca bought this shirt for her daughter a few years ago and just knew this is would be so appropriate for Lan-Lan. She so sweetly gave it to us so Landry could wear it. It totally suits her...things have gotten MUCH better, but she still has her TWO year old moments!

rootin' for the Saints

I am not a Saints "Fan"...I am not a hater...I just love my Chiefs. But today, for the Super Bowl I was a Saints fan. I sported my cute "Fleur De Lis" hat to show my support for New Orleans.

*A cool little note....my bro-in-law Jeff and his dad are in Miami at the Super Bowl!!
They have been die hard fans all their lives so it was only fitting that they made it to to the Super Bowl to watch their team. Jeff made the trip in for the weekend all the way from England since that is where he and his family are living these days! Totally Awesome!

This is the dress I picked for the Daddy Daghter Dance. Mamo and Papo gave me it for Chrismas! I just LOVE it! I can hardly wait to to wear it! I want to wear it write this minute!

Today for our after school snack, Ashton and I had celery with peanut butter and some mini chocolate chips.

Landry wanted to have some too but I am still too nervous to give her celery, she can't have pb yet so she got a few mini m&ms to along with her fruit snacks and crackers. It was a yummy snack that we haven't had in a long time.

ahhhh....finally....a little organization!

I finally took on the daunting task of organizing my recipes. I have had them thrown in an overflowing file folder for I don't know how long. All I know is that every single time I needed a recipe, I had to flip through my file folder and it took forever and every time I would say how I needed to get them organized. (These are just the ones I have printed off the internet or have found in magazines or people have given them to me.)

But now, I have a nice neat little binder with dividers and I love it!

I don't know how in the world I didn't do this sooner!

{I know this is really two pictures, but I combined them into one so I think it counts. I couldn't decide which picture I wanted...again with my horrible indecisiveness!}

Today our "Pea" started her very first swimming lesson EVER. She was super excited and loved every single second of it. I wanted to get pictures, but with it just being me, and I had to be in the water with her-you get the idea, and on top of that I didn't want to leave my camera just lying around while I was in the water.

So...when we got home, I snapped a picture of her wash-n-wear swim diapers that we had to get for swimming lessons. She was beyond tickled that she was able to pick out the two she wanted all by herself.

She was pretty excited to tell Daddy and Ashton that she "went fimming with Say-wah" today.

Landry's "Duh-zerrrrt"

One of my girls' favorite part of lunch and dinner is dessert. They always get to choose something little {one cookie, a few skittles or m&ms, chocolate chips, a powdered donut, chocolate raisins, etc.}

I love watching Landry eat. When she is finished she pushes her place mat away and smiles and says "I duh-zerrrt puh-lease". Her lunch time dessert of choice lately has been 10 mini m&ms. We have been working on her colors and the other day I showed her how to sort her m&ms which she thought was the coolest thing ever. She did it on her own over the weekend and Ashton literally screamed and almost wet her pants...she didn't know I had shown Landry a few days before. It was hilarious!

This week the 5th graders at Ashton's school are holding a fundraiser. They are selling passes to dress according to a certain theme. She was pretty excited for this day!

Project 265~Round 2

Well....as of yesterday I officially completed my first Project 365. I had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed it so much that I am going to continued doing it again. I like trying new things out with my camera and when I actually take a photography class, this will be a great way for me to practice what I learn. I also love that I am able to document things from our days that I wouldn't normally.

This year I am going to add "Sassy Saturday". Every Saturday I will turn my camera over to my Sassy Big Girl and she will have the opportunity to choose what picture to take, take the picture, and type the text to go with it. We are both pretty excited....I can't wait to see what she does with it!

My new layout is compliments of my dear friend Jodi...once again she made this for me. We sat at her computer together browsing through her stuff and bouncing ideas off each other and she did the rest. She makes it look so easy....I only wish I had a little of that brain of hers when it comes to computer stuff. I so appreciate she took the time to do it for me....you're the best!

Thanks a ton Jodi....I LOVE it and I LOVE that you did it for me! You rock girlfriend!
